Listen to Gospel Music

Gospel music can trace its roots all the way to back African tribal chants.  African slaves brought their their music to America where many styles of music would later develop.  Songs that slaves would sing while they worked would eventually turn into early  Black Gospel Music as many of the African slaves became Christians.  This style of music remains strong today as well as other styles that branched out from this early Gospel music.  Blues, Jazz, Soul, R&B, and Rock and Roll can all be traced back to early Gospel music.  Gospel is mainly popular in America but has also gained popularity in countries all over the world as its appreciation continues to grow.
